Have you joined our Dinner Intervention Facebook Group yet? We have some great tips and discussions within our community and one of those threads has inspired a new series for us! A member asked what our favorite ways to prepare asparagus were, and here is what we came up with:
From Laura: “I usually just rinse mine, trim the stalk bases and toss in my cast iron pan with some butter, minced garlic, s&p, perhaps some fresh thyme or rosemary, and saute until they turn bright green. You can also steam them. Fantastic dipped into a good mayo, aioli or hollandaise sauce! Recently came across this Asparagus Soup with Tarragon and Chevre that looks interesting and unique.”
Jeremy shared: “Roasting works, pan-frying like Laura just described is also fantastic. Love asparagus. My favorite is Roasted Asparagus Wrapped in Prosciutto”
Amanda wrote: “I love the flavor of asparagus, so I just trim the base, toss it with a little olive oil, salt & pepper then roast at 450*F for about twenty-thirty minutes, flipping once. It’s also great on the grill!”
Heather likes them: “Roasted or grilled”
And Stacey: “Mix a little olive oil, minced garlic and fresh lemon juice together. Blanch asparagus for a couple of minutes and skewer them. Brush olive oil mixture on them and grill for 5-7 minutes or so.”
