• Oatmeal Granola Bars

    This recipe comes from Jennifer, my fabulous cousin, who is also in our Facebook community.  Thanks, Jennifer!  Love that little hand in the picture!

     I made these with 1 c. chocolate chips and 1 c. raisins . Next time I’m using honey, almonds and cranberries. My 4 girls loved eating these bars and they are so easy to make.

    Oatmeal Granola Bars


    • 4 c. quick rolled oats
    • 1 c. melted butter
    • 1 c. brown sugar
    • 1/2 c. light corn syrup, honey or maple syrup
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 2 tsp. vanilla
    • 2 c. chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, cranberry, or whatever you like.


    1. Pour melted butter over oats. Mix thoroughly.
    2. Add all other ingredients.
    3. Pour into greased baking pan. Pat down with waxed paper over the top to shape and the desired thickness, remove paper.
    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
    5. When almost cool, cut bars, then wrap in wax paper or saran.
