• Paleo Fried Catfish


    A big thank you to Lisa from our Facebook community for sharing this excellent catfish recipe from Cave Girl’s Diet! ¬†Be sure to check out her blog to find a recipe for asparagus to go along with this dish.


    • 2 Catfish Fillets¬† (1 fillet per person, this recipe is for 2 servings)
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup of Almond Flour (also could be called Almond Meal at the store)
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
    • 1/4 cup of coconut oil (place this in a dark, cool area after opening)


    1. heat skillet with coconut oil on medium heat
    2. in a small bowl whisk the egg and almond milk (your wet batter)
    3. in a larger bowl mix the almond flour and the seasonings (dry mix)
    4. dip each fillet in wet bowl first covering both sides well, shake off an excess liquid
    5. lay each side in the dry mix
    6. place fillets in oiled skillet
    7. cook on each side 4-5 minutes, until golden brown
    8. be gentle when flipping *only flip once*
    9. once finished, place on paper towel and blot of excess oil, then serve
    10. serve with asparagus
