• Shirl’s Fruit Salsa

A great big thank you to Shirl from our Facebook community for sharing her recipe for fruit salsa! Yum!

    • 1/4-1/2 sweet onion, chopped fine
    • Cilantro, a few sprigs chopped fine
    • *Mango, cubed (Also good to combine with pineapple, papaya, and passion fruit)
    • Lime, roll, zest, juice and remove seeds
    • Lime zest
    • Serrano pepper, remove seeds and membrane, chop fine (optional)
    • Tomato, cubed
    • Sea salt (I use the pink Hawaiian sea salt)

Combine all ingredients and let stand for 30 minutes to 1 hour to let flavors meld.
Goes well on Kalua pork tacos, chicken tacos, fish of any kind.

*I’ve found frozen mango and tropical fruit mixture with mango in the freezer section when mango is not in season.
